If you are unemployed in Houston and looking for work, attend the January 29, 2014 Job Fair and Career Expo at Reliant Center.

Even if you are facing a repossession or foreclosure, it may be possible to stop it if you can get employed. If you become employed and will have regular income, it may be possible for our firm to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy for you right away, and propose to catch up your delinquent payments, and save your house and car, and either get rid of your other debts or pay them over time.

But you must have regular income. Many people can find jobs through their friends and relatives, and other people that they know. I suggest that you do that first: contact all of your friends and relatives and see if anyone knows of any opportunities for you. Or if you were recently laid off, perhaps your former employer can provide help for you to locate other employment.

And also go to all the events like this Job Fair that you can. You will be able to talk to employers that are hiring, and even if you don't get a job right away, you may learn what you need to do, who you need to see, or new skills that you need to learn to get a job that is right for you.
