Sept. 30, 2013- Houston Chronicle reports that former Enron executive Jeffrey Shankman has been indicted on charges of fraud and concealing assets related to the chapter 7 bankruptcy that he filed in Houston in 2008.

The Chronicle reports that Shankman was involved in a scheme to conceal assets from his creditors and the chapter 7 trustee.

Bankruptcy court records indicate that after objections were raised to his obtaining a discharge, he waived his right to a discharge of his debts. The Chronicle also reports that Shankman concealed and shuffled several pieces of costly assets totalling almost $1 Million, without the Bankruptcy Court's knowledge.
