Houston Bankruptcy Judge Bohm Releases Revised "Helpful Hints For Drafting Complaints, Motions, Applications and Orders" on Court's Site

Posted on Aug 29, 2013

Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Jeff Bohm has posted revised "Helpful Hints for Drafting Complaints, Motions, Applications and Orders" on his home page on the court's website, revised August 16, 2013. Bankruptcy practitioners here in the Southern District of Texas should carefully review them before filing pleadings in Judge Bohm's court.

There appears to be some new items, including how to lay out a pleading, how to properly draft a certificate of service, a requirement that chapter 13 hourly fee applications discuss the First Colonial factors, and Judge Bohm's prohibition on using appearance attorneys that was announced in the opinion in In re Shontel & Sarika Bradley 2013WL 3753559 (Bankr S.D. Tex July 16, 2013).
